About

Welcome to the Telopea Park School Parents and Citizens (P&C) Association.  The P&C  is a strong and active organisation that works hard to support the school and make a difference in the education outcomes for its students.

The Telopea Park School P&C is an incorporated association of parents and citizens who have an interest in the school.  The Association is affiliated with the ACT Council of P&C Associations, which represents parents of children in ACT government schools.

The purpose of the Association is to promote the interests of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students and teaching staff into close cooperation, to assist in providing facilities and equipment for the school and in promoting the recreation and welfare of the students.  The operation of the Association is governed by its Constitution. It comprises an elected Executive and provides a range of services through a number of sub-committees. It also provides representatives on various school committees.

We meet the 2nd and 8th Wednesday of each term at 7:00pm at Telopea Park School.  Details of our meeting dates and locations are here.

All parents, guardians and carers of students at the school are automatically members of the P&C. Through the P&C, parents can:

  • elect parent representatives to the School Board
  • raise valuable funds to improve school facilities and purchase additional equipment and resources
  • oversee the operations of the Before and After School Care Program and Uniform Shop
  • contribute to the development of goals and policies of the school
  • discuss school and educational issues
  • participate in social gatherings

Interested parents, carers and friends of the school are invited to attend our P&C meetings. Parents can also become involved through various committees and events. Involvement in the P&C is a great way to connect with the school community and become active in your child’s schooling.

The P&C Privacy Policy applies to all activities governed by the P&C – you can view the policy here.
